PEEK INSIDE THE BOOK!

Watch Korlie step into first grade, meet her group, and discover something amazing about herself — right before your eyes! Press play and join her on the field, in the classroom, and on the very best kind of adventure.

Korlie just wants her project group to be her best friends. Instead, she gets four kids she barely knows and a field full of leaves, sticks, and a whole lot of quiet. But sometimes, the best leaders are the ones who speak up first. Follow Korlie through one big school day as she learns that leadership isn’t about being the loudest kid in class. It’s about helping a friend, standing up for what’s right, and being brave in small ways, over and over again. Filled with warm, colorful pictures and gentle lessons, this story helps kids spot the leader already growing inside of them and gives grown-ups fun ways to celebrate it at home and in the classroom.

What people are saying

My daughter asks for this book almost every single night now, and I never say no. She’s started saying things like ‘that was brave, like Korlie!’ after school. I honestly didn’t expect a picture book to change how she talks about herself.

Sarah Mitchell

I read this with my whole class, and something just clicked for them. By the end of the story, every single kid could tell me a time they were a leader too, even the shy ones. It’s rare to find a book that opens kids up like that.

My son finished this book and looked up at me with the biggest smile on his face. He didn’t even realize he was learning something the whole time, he just thought it was a fun story. That’s the kind of book that actually sticks.
